Chennai is an emotion for people from Chennai! I have seen it in my husband who being a malayali by origin seems to have absorbed more Tamil into his genes than Malayalam. Im neither a malayali, nor a tamilian maybe more because of my NRI childhood, I have always and will always be apart in this land though it is some place I have started to come to terms with. Initially I didn't like the climate here, I found the roads too dirty, the stench of the cooum disgusted me but after all these years in the city of singara Chennai has become a way of life. Nowadays I don'tseem to notice these things any more. I have fallen in love with the beaches of Chennai! I have fallen for the life that gets offered here in Chennai. A middle class family or a high class family becomes one while playing on the shores of the Marina beach. Be it month ending or a salary day there will always be something that you can afford. There are theaters that let you watch the latest movies for 10 rupees to those that let you watch it on plush sofas and couple seats. We have our own roadside food stalls that cater to one's taste buds when wallets are almost empty to 5 star hotels when company pays for your food and variety of other restaurant for times in between these! Pani puri to paruppu Vadai, everything is right here for us foodies. How can I forget the shopping hubs of Chennai which are even more famous than the IT hubs. T nagar and purusaiwalkam are two indespensible areas for us tamilians. What would we have done without these places and the good deals we strike after bargaining with those poor vendors. Even a small discount there takes us a long way. #chennaida #chennsidiaries #foodieda #loveforchennai #tamilanda #momblogger #chennaimombloggers #chennaitoddlers #chennaimemes
